About Us

Have you ever been to a meeting or group where it seemed that no one in attendance had the same life struggle as you? The more you thought about the group, the more you realized they didn’t seem to have any problems at all. Maybe you were at the group or meeting where you knew that others had life-struggles, but for whatever reason, they refused to admit it. Regardless of your past experiences with church or religion, you can rest assured that you have stumbled upon a group that is different. Not only do we admit that life is a journey of brokenness, but we have also come to the place where we understand that a life of passion and purpose is lived through the experience of struggle.

At the core of The Phoenix Community of Atlanta, we believe that we are all much more alike than we are different, and we connect on a deep level of “Like-Brokenness” that transforms isolation into community. A life lived in connection and community with others is one key to living the transformed life for which God created us, and living life that is transforming is our goal for all who connect with us.

We believe...

We believe there is one God existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is fully human and fully God.

We believe Jesus death on the cross paid for the sins of humanity.  His resurrection proves He is the Son of God and is a historic event that actually happened.

All of humanity has a sin problem that separates each one of us from a relationship with God.  It is by confessing those sins to God and asking Jesus for forgiveness that people receive forgiveness of sin and have an eternal relationship with God.

We believe the Bible is the word of God.

We believe that Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all people throughout the entire world.
